Community You-Pick Nights on the Farm
Stop by the farm during pop-up you-pick hours and leave with a bounty of fresh veggies, flowers, and herbs of your choice. You will be supplied with a harvest basket and scissors and will be shown around the garden. From there, you can pick whatever suits your fancy. The suggested contribution is $25 per large basket or $10 per jar of flowers/herbs. Just want to grab a bunch of kale and a handful of cilantro? Or really just want to pick a little bouquet of fresh flowers? That's cool too! Just pay what you can. Cash, check, or venmo accepted. Follow signs to meet Mary in the garden to get started, parking will be marked.

HOW DO I PAY?
Cash, check and Venmo are accepted on-site.
DO I HAVE TO REGISTER OR PAY IN ADVANCE?
Nope! Just show up during you-pick hours. If you’re coming in a group of 6 or more people, a heads-up ahead of time is welcome but not needed.
WHAT IF THERE IS BAD WEATHER?
You-Pick is rain or shine, so dress accordingly!
WHAT SHOULD I BRING/WEAR?
An open mind, and willingness to try new foods! Bring a reusable grocery bag, basket, or box to bring what you pick home with you. You may also want to bring a vase or jar for your cut flowers and herbs to keep them super fresh. We do have mosquitoes and ticks. Wear good shoes, layers, sun, bug, and rain protection.
ARE KIDS WELCOME?
Kids and families are more than welcome and LOVE the garden! You are responsible for supervising them while at the farm :)
HOW MUCH ACTIVITY SHOULD I EXPECT?
For Community You-Pick, expect to walk around the 0.5-acre garden along uneven ground. Most participants opt to pick their own, but someone is always available at You Pick nights to pick for you if bending and lifting is a problem.

IS THERE ON-SITE LODGING?

DO YOU JUST SELL YOUR VEGGIES OR PRODUCTS?
Not really! Generally, all of what is grown in the garden is utilized by you-pick. In the winter, I do sell some herbal products. If you are looking for something specific, please be in touch and I can point you to another local farmer that may have what you’re looking for if I don’t have it.
CAN I JUST STOP BY THE GARDEN?
Unfortunately, I don’t live or work in the garden full-time, so visits should be made by appointment only. However, you’re welcome to stop by anytime during Community You-Pick nights.
ARE DOGS ALLOWED?
Because there is fresh food growing in the garden, we ask that dogs stay at home. There is no parking area with shade, please do not leave your dog in your car in hot weather.
DO YOU SELL YOU-PICK FLOWERS FOR SPECIAL EVENTS, LIKE WEDDINGS?
If you’d like to pick your own flowers for a special event or wedding, I would be happy to talk with you about that. Flowers are really only in full bloom in August and September in my garden. Mossbrook Roots Flower Farm and Florist is a great resource for you-pick flowers for special events.
