Bulk DIY Wedding & Event Flowers
Available Late June-Early October
Making your own wedding or event flower arrangements can be an economical option for those who want to incorporate locally-grown seasonal cut flowers on a more limited budget. DIY buckets can be purchased two ways, either pre-cut Farmers’ Choice Bulk Cut Flower Buckets or You-Pick Bulk Cut Flower Buckets.
Sustainably Grown in the Adirondacks
Each bucket is a 2-gallon plastic bucket filled with roughly 50 stems of flowers and greenery for you to use to make your own flower arrangements for weddings, bridal, and baby showers, birthday parties, dinner parties, and other events. They are filled with a thoughtful blend of focal flowers, filler, and greenery to give your arrangements a balanced look.
The flowers and foliage are all grown on our farm in Westport, NY without any harmful chemical fertilizers, pesticides, or herbicides. We focus on growing colorful, wild, and edible flowers and greenery, so you will get a fresh-from-the-garden look that reflects the Adirondacks and the exact time of the season.
We guarantee your buckets will be filled with high-quality fresh flowers and greenery that have been grown with love and intention and reflect the Adirondacks and current season. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee any specific colors or types of flowers and greenery.

FAQ
-
This will vary significantly depending on the style of arrangements you’re going for. Some folks will simply place 3-5 stems in a glass bottle, and others will fill a wide-mouthed vase with up to 30 stems. The best way to know how many stems you will need is to decide on a style, purchase the vessel, and test it out with some flowers from your local farmers’ market, grocery store, or garden in advance so you know what you’re looking for in terms of number of stems. On average, a 50-stem bucket will fill roughly 10 bud vases or 3-4 quart-sized mason jars or 2-3 bouquets, or 1 really large statement arrangement. You will want to order extra to account of accidental breakage during your design and transport.
-
Recommend that you pick up or pick your flowers 1-2 days in advance of your event so you have plenty of time to arrange them. When confirming your order, you will arrange a time/day to pick or pick up your flowers at the farm. When driving with your bulk buckets you will need a vehicle that can fit all of the buckets without stacking them. A truck without a covering will cause wind damage. Using crates or storage bins can be helpful to prevent tipping.
-
The sooner you order your buckets, the better! Payment is required by credit card at the time of your order. All orders are final as I have grown the flowers just for you and your event.
-
Depending on how relaxed or efficient you want to be and how many people join you, it will likely take one person about 1-2 hours to pick and fill 5 buckets. Making your own arrangements takes a considerable amount of time, give yourself several hours to make the arrangements.
-
Sharp new scissors can work, but garden snips (not clippers) work even better. You-pickers will be provided with clippers to use in the garden, but you will need scissors or clippers to cut stems to make your arrangements.
-
You are going to want to keep your flowers (either in buckets or in arrangements) in a cool dark place until the event. They will wilt significantly faster if they are exposed to direct sunlight and hot temperatures.

If there is anything I can do to make your visit to the garden more comfortable, accessible, or enjoyable- please let me know!

Because there is fresh food growing in the garden, we ask that dogs stay at home. There is no parking area with shade, do not leave your dog in your car in hot weather.

Unfortunately, I don’t live or work in the garden full-time, so visits should be made by appointment only.
